Shipping Process

• Each vendor chooses the shipping options that best suit them.
• You then choose items from a vendor you like that has shipping options that work for you.  You can also use the message function to plan meet ups/pick ups or drop off dates, places and times etc.
• You can then checkout with the cart function and the vendor will keep you updated as to when to expect your order.
• If the order is sent by courier you can choose your pick up point of your choice at checkout and the vendor will message you when it is fetched by the courier and will send you a tracking number so you know when to go and fetch it from your chosen pick up point.
• For now, you cannot combine shipping costs for more than one vendor but we will soon have this option available.

For now it works as follows:

• Each vendor chooses the shipping options that best suit them.

• Pargo as a courier (R75 per order up to 5kgs)
• Pick up directly from your farm or shop (free)
• Meetups in a set location or discussing with customer for each order (free)

We are working towards this for the future:

• We will soon have the option to combine orders and have them all arrive at your chosen hub for one delivery fee.  This will be possible as soon as we have a delivery vehicle available.
• Our long term plan also includes a decentralised delivery service where anyone can register as a transporter and help move items in an Uber type app which will help us to all be able to contribute to the running of the delivery system.  This will also make deliveries cheaper and faster and help regular people contribute to their transport costs as they will be paid to move items between hubs on route to their regular destinations.
• Once we get enough vendors and sales we aim to have a central hub for packing orders, storing bulk goods and helping with distribution and logistics.
